The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards is one of the most prestigious and recognised schemes in the world with almost 2,000 entries every year, nearly 50 countries and a reach of over 7 million employees.
Entering the RoSPA Award scheme enables Wienerberger UK to benchmark where we are in relation to other companies in our sector. It also provides reassurance to our customers and stakeholders of our Health & Safety stance as a company.
The Wienerberger UK entry was submitted at the beginning of this year and the result is a Gold Award for the fourth year running.
RoSPA (the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) is a not-for-profit organisation that has worked for more than 100 years to help people recognise and reduce their risk of accidents, at home, on the road, at work and at leisure. Its goal is to enable everyone to live their lives to the full, safely.
Karen Springett, Health & Safety Manager said, “This is a great achievement for the company and the people who have contributed across the business in its success. Creating a good health and safety culture is very much about teamwork and I would like to thank each and every person who has, and continues, to contribute to make Wienerberger a safer place to work.”
