What is a standard format brick?
A standard UK format brick has standard brick dimensions of 215 x 102.5 x 65mm. It can be made by one of several different processing methods, including stock, extruded or waterstruck. These standard bricks are available in a wide variety of colours, textures and styles, whether you’re looking to create a modern aesthetic, or traditional look-and-feel to your design.

Stock (or softmud)
Stock bricks are made using an automated process where clay is dropped into moulds by machine and released using sand. Stock bricks tend to have softer, more varied edges, and commonly have an indent known as a ‘frog’. Browse some of our most popular stock bricks:
Wirecut (or extruded)
These bricks are produced by extruding clay through a brick-shaped die and then cutting into individual bricks using a wire. They tend to have precise edges and commonly have perforations through the bricks. Browse some of our most popular wirecut bricks:
Waterstruck
