Angled bricks are available to maintain bonding patterns around a given angle. For stretcher (or half-bond), squint bricks may be used as their leg dimensions of 164mm and 51mm add up to 215mm, therefore the stretcher bond arrangement is consistent around the angle. Another option for maintaining stretcher bond is the external angle with leg lengths of 215mm and 102mm – these lengths also allow for the continuation of stretcher bond without the need for cutting bricks.

Quarter bonds such as English, Flemish, Header and the Garden Wall bonds differ to the above as they overlap on each course by a quarter (46mm). There are also angled bricks that will maintain a quarter bond without the need for cutting bricks. Please refer to the table above to see which bricks are suitable for half or quarter bonds without cutting.
